Introducing the Bitaxe ThunderVolt 5.2v power supply – the 5.2V 8A OC Edition PSU engineered for stable, consistent power delivery to your Bitaxe. It maintains a solid 5.1–5.2V output under load, helping to eliminate voltage drop issues and keeping your miner happy when you’re pushing clocks and tuning efficiency.

Delivering up to 41.6W (5.2V at 8A), the ThunderVolt 5.2 OC Edition is ideal for standalone Bitaxe setups on the desk or shelf. It’s the same spec of supply used in our premium Bitaxe bundles and is designed to provide clean headroom for overclocking while staying within sensible limits.

Why the power supply matters

With USB-style 5V devices, cable resistance and connector losses can cause the voltage at the board to sag below 5V when current increases. By starting at around 5.2V at the power supply and holding that under load, the ThunderVolt helps ensure your Bitaxe still sees a healthy voltage at the PCB, instead of dipping into marginal territory when you increase hashrate or fan speed.

In simple terms, it’s designed to minimise voltage drop in a typical Bitaxe setup, giving you steadier behaviour at higher power draw.
