Returns Policy

  1. General Returns (Change of Mind)

    • As an online retailer, we offer a full 14-day right to cancel from the date you receive your order, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
    • To receive a full refund, items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as received — handling beyond what would be reasonably permitted in a shop may result in a deduction from your refund to reflect any reduction in the item's value.
    • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.
    • No restocking fee is charged for items returned in their original, unopened condition.
    • To initiate a return, please contact us at info@thesolomining.co before sending anything back. Unauthorised returns may not be accepted.
  2. 14-Day Fault Policy (Dead on Arrival / Early Failure)

    • If a product develops a fault within 14 days of receipt, and has been operated strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, we will offer a free repair or replacement at our discretion.
    • Mining hardware operates in demanding conditions. We ask customers to provide reasonable evidence that the fault is not due to environmental factors (e.g. excessive heat, dust, moisture, unstable power supply, or overclocking) before a claim is accepted.
    • This policy does not cover damage resulting from misuse, physical damage, power surge, unauthorised modifications, or operation outside of manufacturer guidelines.
    • We will cover all reasonable return shipping costs for confirmed faulty items under this policy.
  3. Repair or Replacement — Up to 6 Months (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

    • For faults arising within 6 months of purchase, where the product has been used in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, you have the right to request a repair or replacement under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.
    • In line with Section 23 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we will bear all necessary costs associated with any repair or replacement, including return postage.
    • Mining hardware is subject to high operational stress. Within this 6-month window, we may request reasonable supporting information (such as operating temperatures, power supply details, or configuration logs) to confirm the fault is not the result of misuse or conditions outside the manufacturer's recommended guidelines.
    • We reserve the right to assess returned items and decline a claim if inspection reveals damage consistent with misuse, modification, or operation outside of specified parameters. We will always communicate our findings transparently.
    • This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
  4. Beyond 6 Months

    • After 6 months, we're still here to help — but the nature of mining hardware means continuous, high-intensity operation will naturally cause wear over time, and this falls outside what we can cover.
    • If something goes wrong after 6 months, get in touch and we'll do our best to advise, diagnose, or point you in the right direction.
    • Where a repair is possible, we're happy to offer this as a paid service at a fair price.
    • For any claim after 6 months, we may ask you to provide evidence that the fault is inherent to the product rather than the result of wear, environmental conditions, or how the hardware has been operated.
  5. Proof of Purchase

    • A valid proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is required for all returns, replacements, and warranty claims.
    • Warranty and return rights apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable.
  6. Exclusions

    • The following are not covered under any part of this returns policy:
      • Damage caused by misuse, physical impact, or unauthorised modifications
      • Faults resulting from operation outside of manufacturer specifications (e.g. overclocking, incorrect voltage, inadequate cooling)
      • Damage from environmental factors including but not limited to moisture, dust ingress, or power surges
      • General wear and tear from continuous or high-intensity operation
      • Second-hand or resold items
  7. Processing Time

    • We aim to process all returns, refunds, and repairs within 7 working days of receiving the item.
    • Complex repairs may take longer; we will keep you informed throughout the process.
  8. How to Start a Return or Claim

    • Contact us at info@thesolomining.co before sending anything back.
    • Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and where possible, photos or video evidence of the fault.
    • Do not return items without prior authorisation — unauthorised returns may be refused.

 

Note: The Solo Mining Co reserves the right to update or modify this Returns Policy at any time. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are not affected by this policy.
