These Solar Hosting Terms & Conditions apply to all Solar Hosting products, hosted mining rentals, rental credit, and related services purchased from The Solo Mining Co and redeemed or activated via https://solarhosting.thesolomining.co.

By purchasing, redeeming, activating, or using any Solar Hosting product or service, you agree to the terms below.

In Brief

• When you rent through Solar Hosting, you are renting a real physical mining unit.
• You are not simply buying abstract or pooled hashrate.
• Your miner is hosted, powered, and maintained by The Solo Mining Co.
• Customers receive access to our proprietary dashboard for monitoring and selected control.
• Dashboard access does not include advanced features such as overclocking, voltage tuning, firmware modification, or device-level admin access.
• If your rented unit develops a fault, we may temporarily move you to another working unit to keep your service running.
• Solar Hosting is renewable-first, but may switch to grid power when needed to maintain uptime.
• Redemption codes are emailed after checkout where applicable.
• Once activated or used, rentals and credit are generally non-refundable.
• Downtime is monitored and, where applicable, rental time is automatically added back.
• No specific mining reward, profit, or block outcome is guaranteed.

1. Overview

   • Solar Hosting is a hosted Bitcoin mining service provided by The Solo Mining Co.
   • Customers may purchase hosted mining rentals and/or rental credit which can be redeemed against eligible services through our Solar Hosting platform.
   • Solar Hosting products are primarily service-based and digital in nature, even where they relate to the rental of physical hosted mining hardware.
   • Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no hardware is shipped to the customer.

2. Eligible Products and Credit

   • Certain products sold on our website may be redeemed as Solar Hosting products, including but not limited to hosted mining rentals and rental credit.
   • Where a product is sold as Solar Mining Rental Credit, each unit purchased represents the corresponding monetary credit value stated on the product listing.
   • This credit may only be used on eligible Solar Hosting products and services through the Solar Hosting platform.

3. Redemption and Activation

   • After checkout, customers will receive a redemption code by email where applicable.
   • This code can be redeemed through the Solar Hosting platform at https://solarhosting.thesolomining.co/.
   • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a correct email address at checkout, retain their redemption code securely, redeem the code correctly, and ensure they use the correct Solar Hosting account and wallet details where required.
   • We are not responsible for delays, failed activation, or loss caused by incorrect customer details, incorrect redemption, or failure to follow the activation process.

4. Nature of the Service

   • Solar Hosting provides customers with the rental of a real physical mining unit hosted and operated by The Solo Mining Co.
   • Where a product is described as a Bitaxe, NerdQAxe++, Avalon Q, or other named miner rental, the customer is renting an actual physical unit of that type within our hosting environment, not merely the equivalent hashrate of such a machine.
   • This is a core part of the Solar Hosting model and one of the features that makes the service distinct.
   • However, while the rental relates to a real physical unit, that unit remains housed, powered, connected, monitored, and maintained within our infrastructure. Customers are purchasing hosted rental access to that unit for the applicable term, rather than taking physical possession of the hardware.
   • For the avoidance of doubt, Solar Hosting rentals relate to real physical mining units hosted by The Solo Mining Co, rather than purely notional, pooled, or synthetic hashrate allocations.

5. Customer Dashboard Access

   • As part of the Solar Hosting service, customers are provided with access to The Solo Mining Co’s proprietary dashboard, which gives them visibility and selected control over their rented mining unit.
   • This dashboard is intended to provide a clear and useful hosted user experience while ensuring the unit remains secure, stable, and suitable for operation within a managed hosting environment.
   • Dashboard access may include selected controls, status information, and performance data, but does not include unrestricted administrative or device-level access to the underlying hardware.
   • For the avoidance of doubt, customers do not receive access to advanced, unsupported, or infrastructure-sensitive features, including but not limited to overclocking, advanced voltage or frequency adjustment, unsupported firmware modification, low-level system configuration, direct operating system access, or any feature that may compromise hardware stability, service reliability, or the wider hosting environment.
   • We reserve the right to define, limit, change, or withdraw dashboard features at any time where reasonably necessary for operational, technical, security, or service continuity reasons.

6. Renewable Energy Approach and Power Source

   • The Solo Mining Co operates a dedicated solar-powered hosting setup in the South East of England, supported by battery storage to help maximise renewable operation and maintain service continuity.
   • Our ethos is to prioritise renewable energy wherever possible. However, during periods of low solar generation or depleted battery reserves, it may sometimes be necessary for the hosting infrastructure to automatically switch to grid power in order to maintain service availability.
   • Because providing a reliable service is more important than unnecessarily interrupting customer rentals, hosted mining services may continue to run regardless of real-time solar generation status.
   • We aim to be transparent about this, and relevant system status and solar performance information may be displayed on the solar stats section of the main Solar Hosting page where applicable.
   • Solar Hosting is therefore operated on a renewable-first basis, but uninterrupted service is not dependent on solar-only conditions at all times.
   • Use of supplementary grid power during periods of low solar generation shall not be considered a failure of service and shall not be grounds for refund, provided the hosted mining service continues to be delivered.

7. No Guarantee of Profit or Reward

   • Bitcoin mining is inherently variable.
   • By purchasing a Solar Hosting product or service, you acknowledge and accept that no specific mining reward, profit level, financial return, or block-finding outcome is guaranteed.
   • Mining performance may vary due to network difficulty, mining luck, pool luck, uptime events, maintenance, and other operational factors beyond our control.
   • The Solo Mining Co does not guarantee profitability, return on investment, or any particular mining outcome.

8. Service Availability and Continuity

   • We aim to provide a reliable hosted mining service at all times. However, mining hardware, power systems, internet connectivity, pools, firmware, and related infrastructure may occasionally experience faults, downtime, maintenance, or interruption.
   • If a rented unit becomes unavailable, goes offline, fails, or underperforms due to a hardware or hosting issue, we may, at our discretion, transfer the service to another working unit, allocate standby capacity, provide a comparable replacement unit, or apply account credit or another reasonable remedy where appropriate.
   • We maintain reserve or standby units where possible to help support continuity of service, but reserve capacity is not guaranteed in all circumstances.
   • Temporary reassignment to another working unit or replacement with a comparable hosted unit shall not be grounds for refund, provided the service purchased continues to be delivered in a reasonably equivalent form.

9. Service Continuity and Unit Replacement

   • We aim to keep each customer allocated to the physical mining unit they have rented. However, as with any live hosted hardware environment, faults, downtime, maintenance, or operational issues can occur.
   • If a rented unit becomes unavailable, goes offline, fails, or requires maintenance, we may temporarily transfer the customer’s service to another suitable working unit in order to maintain continuity of service.
   • Where possible, we will seek to restore the customer to the original rented unit, or otherwise provide a comparable replacement unit of the same model or a materially similar alternative.
   • Temporary reassignment or replacement of a rented unit for continuity purposes shall not, by itself, be considered grounds for refund, provided the service continues to be delivered in a reasonably equivalent manner.

10. Maintenance, Downtime, and Time Compensation

    • From time to time, reasonable downtime may occur due to planned maintenance, emergency repair, firmware updates, infrastructure upgrades, network or pool issues, power-related issues, solar generation limitations, third-party service interruptions, or events outside our reasonable control.
    • We work to minimise any such disruption wherever possible.
    • We also operate monitoring systems designed to track downtime, and where applicable, lost time will be automatically credited back to the live rental period so that the duration purchased closely matches the duration delivered.
    • Our intention is simple: if you pay for a rental duration, we will do everything reasonably within our power to ensure that this is the duration you receive.
    • Time compensation will be the primary remedy for downtime where the service can continue or resume, unless we determine that another remedy is more appropriate.

11. Refunds and Cancellations

    • Solar Hosting products, hosted rentals, and rental credits are non-physical digital/service products.
    • No refunds will be issued for any Solar Hosting service that has already been redeemed, activated, started, used, or consumed.
    • No refunds will be issued for used mining rentals unless we are unable to provide the service purchased.
    • No refunds will be issued for customer error, change of mind after activation, failure to redeem, or failure to use the service.
    • No refunds will be issued solely because solar generation is lower than expected, provided the hosted service continues to operate.
    • If we are unable to provide the service purchased and cannot offer a suitable replacement, reassignment, or reasonable alternative, we may offer, at our discretion, a partial refund, full refund, store credit, or Solar Hosting account credit.
    • Any such remedy will depend on the circumstances, the duration of the interruption, and the proportion of service not delivered.

12. Cooling-Off and Digital Service Waiver

    • By redeeming, activating, or using any Solar Hosting service, you acknowledge that the service has begun and that any right to cancel may be lost once the service has been accessed, delivered, or consumed.
    • Where applicable by law, redemption or activation of the service constitutes express consent for immediate performance of the service.

13. Customer Responsibilities

    • Customers are responsible for supplying accurate account and contact details, keeping login credentials secure, keeping redemption codes secure, ensuring any wallet, payout, or account details entered are correct, understanding the nature of Bitcoin mining and hosted service variability, and reviewing product pages and service information before purchase.
    • We are not liable for losses arising from incorrect wallet addresses, incorrect user account setup, customer misunderstanding of mining outcomes, or customer-side errors.

14. Platform Availability and Displayed Data

    • The Solar Hosting platform, dashboard, statistics, and solar data are provided to assist customers in monitoring their hosted service.
    • Displayed information, including solar statistics, energy data, uptime information, balances, and performance figures, may occasionally be delayed, estimated, rounded, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable due to technical or operational reasons.
    • Such display issues shall not by themselves be considered a failure of service, provided the underlying hosted mining service continues to operate materially as intended.

15. Suspension or Refusal of Service

    • We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, refuse, or cancel access to Solar Hosting services where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, misuse of codes or credits, abuse of the service, attempted exploitation of pricing or system errors, abusive or threatening behaviour toward staff, or breach of these Terms & Conditions.
    • Where appropriate, a reasonable remedy may be offered at our discretion.

16. Product Listings and Service Changes

    • We reserve the right to update, amend, withdraw, or replace Solar Hosting products, pricing, infrastructure, hosting arrangements, supported hardware, and service models at any time.
    • We may also update rental structures, redemption mechanisms, operational processes, or supported equipment where necessary to improve the service, maintain continuity, or respond to technical or commercial requirements.

17. Limitation of Liability

    • To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Solo Mining Co shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss caused by mining difficulty changes, loss caused by mining luck, pool luck, or block outcomes, loss caused by third-party platforms, pools, wallets, internet providers, or energy providers, or interruptions or events outside our reasonable control.
    • Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

18. Relationship to Other Policies

    • These terms apply specifically to Solar Hosting services and sit alongside our general website terms, returns policy, and any product-specific listing terms shown at the point of purchase.
    • If there is any conflict between these Solar Hosting Terms & Conditions and any general returns policy or standard product terms, these Solar Hosting Terms & Conditions shall take precedence for Solar Hosting products and services.
